🤔 So why do people use phrases like, "Back in the day", "It used to be", "Take me back", "Remember when" with such care and yearning? Well, I'll tell you why... Because there was a certain level of QUALITY and better STANDARDS with/in almost everything. Now I sound like my parents... 🙄 But the fact of the matter is, IT'S TRUE! Damn true. And even though I'd roll my eyes and say my elders didn't understand or knew what they were talking about then, I sure do get it now! The LOVE was better, the FUN was pretty amazing, the SOCIAL life was actually faaackin' "socialling" without the reliance of social apps or devices, the AIR was cleaner, the MONEY stretched much longer, people were more KIND & RESPECTFUL and weren't so damn sensitive, etc. Get my point??? 🤷🏾‍♂️ The point is, it's never going to be the same and it's just getting worse... Let's get back to just LIVING!!! That's why good memories are VERY important! Build them. Document them. Make them consistent. And never let anyone make you feel guilty for reminiscing! 😎
